San Diego, CA (July 8, 2025) — St. Paul’s Senior Services is proud to announce the promotions of Mark Valladolid to Vice President of Technology & Innovation and Cory Fish to Vice President of Human Resources. These two dedicated leaders have each made a significant impact on the organization’s growth, infrastructure, and mission-driven culture. In their new roles, both will be responsible for overseeing their respective departments across all of St. Paul’s Senior Services and its affiliate, TRU Community Care, ensuring alignment, innovation, and excellence systemwide.
Mark Valladolid: Vice President of Technology & Innovation
Mark Valladolid has 25 years of experience in Informational Technology (IT), he joined St. Paul’s in 2012 as the organization’s first-ever Manager of IT. Over the past decade, he has been instrumental in modernizing the organization’s technology infrastructure, most notably leading the implementation of an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system across all residential communities between 2014 and 2015. His early work required over $200,000 in infrastructure upgrades, completed in just six months with a team of two.
Since then, Mark has overseen the expansion of the IT department to a seven-member team and supported the launch of multiple new locations, including all St. Paul’s PACE sites and The Manor on Bankers Hill. He holds industry certifications in Cisco Networks and Cybersecurity and continues to lead both day-to-day operations and long-term strategic planning for IT.
“What’s kept me at St. Paul’s all these years is the people, the incredible team I get to work with, and the mission we all support,” said Valladolid. “I’m results-driven and empowered here to truly make an impact. That’s rare.”
In his new role, Valladolid will focus on expanding technology-driven care delivery models beyond traditional PACE and Residential services. His top priorities include fostering innovation, adopting emerging technologies, and challenging the organization to think beyond what’s currently possible.
Cory Fish: Vice President of Human Resources
Cory Fish joined St. Paul’s in January 2017 and has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources (HR), including more than a decade in executive leadership. His strategic oversight has strengthened every area of the HR department, from employee relations to recruiting, retention, and benefits administration.
A key highlight of Cory’s leadership was the successful implementation and ongoing optimization of Dayforce, St. Paul’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS). Under his direction, the department went fully paperless in 2018, streamlining and unifying payroll, benefits, recruiting, compensation, performance management, and learning into one integrated platform.
“This won’t be a surprise coming from someone in HR, but I truly love the people here, the ones I work with, for, and alongside,” said Fish. “While HR doesn’t care directly for our seniors, we care for the people who do, and that means a lot.”
As Vice President, Cory will focus on unifying HR teams at St. Paul’s and its affiliate, TRU Community Care, enhancing systems and services across both organizations. His vision is to lead a transformation of the employee experience by championing mentorship, development, and data-driven practices that empower teams at every level.
“Both Cory and Mark have helped shape who we are today and who we strive to become,” said Michael McHale, President and CEO of St. Paul’s Senior Services. “Their promotions are a reflection of their commitment, leadership, and the essential role their departments play in supporting our mission to transform the aging experience.”
St. Paul’s congratulates Cory Fish and Mark Valladolid on these well-earned promotions and looks forward to the continued innovation, heart, and excellence they bring to their new roles.
