What's New May 2006- St. Paul's will be closing its home care services. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the seniors and thier families who have participated in the program over the past years. UCSD TIES Digital Nursing Program Update, Dec 2005 The UCSD TIES Digital Nursing project has created a digital system that will allows the nurses at St. Paul's John A McColl Family Health center and St. Paul's Villa (St. Paul's Assisted Living Community) to create electronic logs of each shift's logs. These logs can be accessed by multiple nurses
simultaneously; a feature that is not available on the original paper charts. The immediacy of access to this data creates a higher level of care and improves response time and accuracy. During the presentation, the students expressed how the Program has allowed them to practically apply knowledge gained in the classroom to the real world. The inter-disciplinary nature of the program was also a great benefit for them, as the St. Paul's TIES program allowed students from different disciplines to work together on a real project.
